The Sega iDog from Hasbro
Be sure to remember the dancing impaired on your list this holiday season: some people just don't gots the moves to jive to their own music, and that's why they need the Sega iDog from Hasbro to do it for them. They can just hook this $30 cutie up to their iPod or other audio player and watch him flash his LEDs and waggle to the music. He also brings his own tunes, but he's as equally content to hang out and be petted and such, just like those annoyingly lovable virtual pets of yore. Should be the perfect gift for anyone who has ever nursed such an addiction, and might make a better companion than some iPod case.

Very cute little toy. Recommended for all who are in touch with their inner child. Fun to hook up to my ipod for a small speaker.

The iDog is very cute, and the small speaker capability is great, but it does have two issues.
1) This thing eats batteries (AA). Get a good set of rechargeables.
2) It is very needy. You can't just let it play for an hour, and shut it down for a week. You must pat it on the head frequently, and play music every day to keep it happy. It is like a real dog that needs to be fed & walked daily, in that regard.
Other than that, it is really cute and fun. The chicks really dig it too :)
